At Sunshine Kids Physio, we specialise in supporting children of all ages to achieve their developmental milestones and improve their physical abilities. Our Paediatric Physiotherapists use tailored, evidence-based interventions to help children reach developmental milestones, recover from injury, manage complex medical conditions and allow each child to shine in their own way.
No two children are the same and we ensure that each child's treatments are individualised to ensure we obtain the best outcomes for children and their families.
We are a child-centred, family-focussed business and are passionate about what we do.
At Sunshine Kids Physio, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of care for your child and your family. Led by Kristy Tunstall, an experienced paediatric physiotherapist with a passion for holistic, child- and family-centred care, our mission is to support every child to thrive.
Kristy brings extensive experience working with a wide range of disabilities and developmental needs. She believes that children shouldn’t be defined by their diagnosis or challenges — but empowered to go beyond expectations with the right support, care, and belief in their potential.
With compassion, expertise, and a dedication to personalised care, Kristy works alongside families to help each child reach their fullest potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
We are committed to providing the highest quality Paediatric Physiotherapy services to support your child's growth and development. Our team of experienced Paediatric Physiotherapists are passionate about helping children thrive.
We see both private clients and NDIS clients.
At Sunshine Kids Physio, we offer high-quality, compassionate physiotherapy services for children from birth through to 16 years of age. Our approach is family-focused, playful, and grounded in best practice — always tailored to the unique needs of each child.
We have a special interest in working with younger children (0–5 years) and offer expert care across a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to:
Kristy has extensive experience supporting children with complex care needs, including those requiring multidisciplinary input, long-term rehabilitation, and palliative care. This includes working sensitively and respectfully with families navigating end-of-life journeys, always with a focus on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
We have supported hundreds of families through their physiotherapy journey, including navigating NDIS applications, report writing, and prescription of Assistive Technology and mobility equipment.
Building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families is at the heart of what we do. We pride ourselves on making physiotherapy sessions engaging, supportive, and fun — because meaningful therapy happens best when children feel safe and understood.
Hydrotherapy services are also available when clinically appropriate.
Sunshine Kids Physiotherapy is a mobile Paediatric Physiotherapy service catering to children in the Brisbane area (within 25kms of the CBD). This means that instead of having to bundle your little ones into the car and drive to a location for their therapies - we deliver them directly to you, in your own home.
Over time, we have found that children we see in their homes are generally more relaxed and happy to engage in Physiotherapy programs and interventions and we are able to navigate and mitigate some of the challenges we would typically see in a clinical setting.

While we strive to support every child and family, our books are nearly full. Each referral is carefully triaged and assessed, and if we’re unable to offer ongoing care, we will do our best to guide you toward alternative services or providers that may be able to help.
